Parser documentation/sample for linked documents

Apr 6, 2010 at 10:37 AM

Hi

Can someone point me documentation/sample to serve a page with embedded links.

Say we have a html page page1.html which refers to an image image1.jpg and may be some script in separate directories as below.

root/page1.html

root/images/image1.jpg

root/scripts/script1.js

Now I want a have a stream object which can serve the page.

I have different mechanism to use this stream object.

Please help

server.Resources.Add(new FileResources("/", "C:\\root\\"));

if you want to access the files like <img src="/root/images/image1.jpg" /> then you should use webserver.Resources.Add(new FileResources("/root/", "C:\\root"));

Thanks for reply.

But I guess I couldn't form the question clearly. Let me try again.

I am not looking at using server. I want to use my REST based WCF service serve some static pages which has simple html.

No server side processing takes place.

In my WCF service I have a method to serve pages which has stream type as output parameter.

Now I am looking for a library which can return me stream object given a url.

Such stream is expected to include all content, even images or scripts.

Hope I could convey it now.

This is a webserver project, It serves content to a web client, nothing else.

It's possible to hook into the engine to get access to the streams, but I don't see any good reason to do so. Much more work than to build your service on top of the webserver.
